Resolved Question: "Heart's Escape" Aspiring poet needing OPINIONS...(Poll)?
Poll Question: What line(s) of the following poem (that I have written) stands out to you? Can you hear it thumping Pounding against my rib cage As if it needs to escape The warm and moist confines of my body Like a prisoner of my flesh and bone It is my heart which cries out Screaming in its joyous torment Like a prisoner of my flesh and bone It feels a need to open up and shout All these truthful words so bottled up For many days and nights Some smooth and some strong and rough Others come peacefully and some quite loud Simple and yet quite complex Through the window panes of my eyes My heart peers out into the world Seeking that burst of excitement The kind of excitement that carelessly waits Until the sight and sound and touch releases it So it could dance in the light so gracefully A sparkling hue of blue watery diamond Appears to be reflecting my face in its glow Two rows of almost perfect white pearls Reveal themselves from within their shell Glittering, bouncing light beams off my brow Beads of sweat twinkle a sound reply Saying... "Yes, yes! It is me, the one who desires you most." Singing... "Oh my every joy, I can see before my eyes, my every moment of peace rings in my ears, with that soft song of love. Oh my every joy, A touch upon my soul erases these wounds, Heals this hurt, makes stronger this heart And yes, it is you who I love." My nostrils flare an adorance for the flaming candle Which burns so brightly amongst shadows A beacon of which my heart reaches out So desperately to grasp and hold on to forever and ever The only way out though is to break through Yes, split the bars which hold me in And tear a hole in the smooth fleshy shell Until its wings can spread out and fly on the breeze The breeze of her nostrils Breathing and giving life to a spiritual utopia Her roots planted firmly in the ground So her own breeze won't turn into a violent wind And break the covenant she has made with the rock The foundation of her spirit's house *BLAM! BLAM!* The beat of my thumping heart continues Willing to sacrifice its only housing to express its love In actions or words to this angelic figure Which stands outside the locked door of its fortress *BLAM! BLAM!* Again and again, it crashes Against the solid bone and flesh of my chest All the while, it bleeds from the violent blows Wondering if it will still be whole Or in pieces, broken by its captors When the bondage ends in one quick blast Of the freedom trumpet The final stone of the wall crumbling to the ground My heart's escape will not be peaceful Only God can say for certain Whether it will still be beating strongly After every bar and every wall and every chain has been broken Only God can break the indestructable wall Of which my heart now tries to break through Thumping hard against my chest Today, it makes the ultimate sacrifice To reach out and love and to be loved

Pure eyes like a glassy bead - - You are alwaya looking at me And I am always looking you. Ah, you’re too meek – Beautiful, unspoiled: Thus I’m so sad, I suffer- - And so happy, it hurts. I want to hurt you And destroy myself. What would you think If you knew how I felt. Would you simply smile, Not saying a word? Even curses from your mouth Would be as beautiful as pearls. I place my left hand on your face As though we were to kiss. Then I suddenly shove my thumb deep in your eye socket. Abruptly, decisively like drilling a hole. And what would it feel like? Like jelly? Trembling with ectasy.I obscenely mix it around: I must taste the warmth of your blood. How would you scream? Would you shriek “It hurts, It hurts? As cinnabar red tears stream from your eye? You can’t know the maddening hunger ive felt In the midst of our kisses, so many of them I’ve lost count. As though drinking in your cries I bring my hopes to fruition Biting your tounge, shredding it. Biting at your lips as if tasting your lipstick. Oh, what euphoric heights I would reach, Having my desire fulfilled, like greedy gluttonous cur. I longed, too, for your cherry tinted cheeks, taste enough to bewitch my tounge I would surely be healed and would cry like a child. And how is your tender ear? It brushes against my cheek; I want it to creep up to my lips So I can sink my teeth into its flesh. Your left ear, always hearing words, whispers Sweet as pie - - I want it to hear my true feelings. I never lied, no but I did have my secrets. Ah, but what must you think of me? Do you hate me? Are you afraid? As though inviting you to agony, at plays end, if you wish you could destroy me.I wouldn’t care/ As you wish you might destroy me- - I wouldn’t care. you have to get a four digit number to open a door its really hard it took me forever! the thingys (--) have nothing to do with it just saying
